Scholarships & Awards

The Scholarships and Awards Committee, along with the Board of Directors, invite you to apply for any of four scholarships offered annually to the NYC Chapter AACN membership. In addition, you can nominate a colleague for one of two leadership awards.

Applications with qualifying information are listed separately. A brief description of each scholarship and award can be found below with a link to the appropriate form or application. The Educational and Clinical Leadership awards require a letter of nomination and an exemplar depicting an example of the candidate's high standard of practice.

All scholarships are redeemable in 2000 and do not carry over to subsequent years. Award recipients will be notified by mail in March 2000 after Board approval. The information will be posted on this website.

Remember, this is an exclusive opportunity for NYC Chapter AACN members only.

Carole Birdsall Education Scholarship
Amount determined yearly
Scholarship is to offset formal nursing education costs
Educational Leadership Award
Recognizes a nurse educator
Recipient receives a plaque and complimentary registration to a
NYC Chapter AACN Program
Clinical Leadership Award
Recognizes a clinical leader
Recipient receives a plaque and complimentary registration to a
NYC Chapter AACN Program
